In my Pattern collection feminism is the main theme: I wanted to express feminism (define, establish, and achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the genders. This includes fighting gender stereotypes and seeking to establish educational and professional opportunities for women that are equal to those for men).
I have used two symbols: a rose and a cage. Both of these symbols I have used in my previous collections. The rose is a symbol for feminine power and sexuality. In "Vulva"-pattern especially the female sexuality is expressed. The cage is a symbol for women in this world that feel and are treated inferior in comparison to men. In many societies even today women are "caged" to their husbands and to the society that expects women to be and act in a certain role or look the certain way.
